Made from a combination of indigenous Callet and Fogoneu grapes, as well as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot from vineyards located in the island's north and south. This wine is incredibly palatable and lively, offering both a literal and metaphorical burst of energy. One of the more intriguing wine initiatives to come out of Spain recently is 4Kilos. The first vintage of 4Kilos was vinified in a milk refrigeration unit. The winery was founded in 2006 by musician Sergio Caballero, who is also the founding partner and director of the Sonar music festival, and former Anima Negra winemaker Francesc Grimalt, who is well-known for his attempts to save the Callet variety. These days, they use both native and foreign grape varietals from Mallorca's north and south.
