Six Kingdoms–Mortlach Aged 15 Years opens with red apple and warming spice notes, before hints of toffee apple, wood spice and ripe cranberry appear. On the palate, these delicious fruit aromas are met with hints of cinnamon and a warming woodiness, accompanying a lingering vanilla, spice and dark chocolate. Adding a little water develops the fresh fruit characters, with more in the way of green apple and green grape. The aromas become softer, the woodiness gentler, and the chocolate notes more pronounced.
